Vintage Wooden Bottle Opener – Creepy Figural Face w/ Pipe & Hat – Odd Barware

This is the bottle opener you didn’t ask for — and yet, here he is.

Carved from wood and dressed in a plaid cloth cap, this strange little bar companion stares out with lopsided googly eyes, a bulbous red nose, and an unsettling half-smile. A tiny wooden pipe juts from the side of his mouth, but we’re not sure if he’s relaxing… or silently judging.

Likely made in the 1970s or early 1980s, this figural bottle opener is part novelty, part folk art, and part barware oddity. A piece like this may have once brought laughs — now it brings questions. Who made him? Why the hat? And why, exactly, does he look like he knows all your secrets?

Condition:

Some light surface wear to the metal. Eyes, nose, hat, and pipe intact. Fabric is slightly aged and frayed, as expected for vintage barware.
