Nestled in the shelter of an oversized hand, this wide-eyed child gazes outward with a knowing innocence that somehow feels… a little too still. This 11-inch vintage ceramic piece, glazed in pastel pinks and peaches, might once have been a symbol of divine protection — but now it leans firmly into protective or possessed, depending on where you place it.
Crafted sometime between the 1960s–70s, this heavy, crazed-glaze figurine was likely the work of a small-batch ceramic studio or home artist, using a mold popular in mid-century devotional decor. The child’s expression is pure — but the atmosphere? Something else entirely. Place it on a shelf, and watch your guests slowly lean in, then recoil, unsure if they’re comforted… or cursed.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with no major cracks or chips. Noticeable glaze crazing adds authentic age and character. Please see photos for full detail.
