From the long-lost cookhouse tucked behind the Manor’s East Garden, this rustic miniature hearth diorama captures the spirit of simpler (and perhaps spookier) times. Handmade from wood, clay, and natural materials, this folk art piece re-creates a cozy cottage kitchen—complete with a roaring stove, stacked firewood, and tiny handmade pottery.
The thatched-style roof and clay tile shingles lend a weathered charm, while the painted yellow stucco walls whisper of smoke-stained memories and daily meals long forgotten. A small reptile figure lurks near the column (perhaps guarding the fire?), and shelves above the hearth hold jars, mugs, and a tiny beaver visitor… or is it a guardian?
Whether you display it in a kitchen nook, on a shelf of oddities, or as a scene setter for your haunted dollhouse collection, it brings warmth—and a bit of mystery—wherever it goes.
Rumor has it: The scent of woodsmoke lingers near it when the room is quiet… even without a fire.
